JOB TITLE:
Financial Analyst

Zayo Fiber Solutions (ZFS), a business unit of Zayo Group, is a fast growing Bandwidth Infrastructure based telecommunications service provider located in Louisville, Colorado. ZFS is seeking a Financial Analyst / Senior Analyst to join its finance department reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with daily or regular interaction with both the CFO and President of ZFS.

SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst position at ZFS plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of business performance, as well as thorough and robust future financial forecasts. This FP&A function is one of the most high visibility and mission critical roles at Zayo; as such, we are looking for an intelligent, motivated, detail-oriented financial analyst who can hit the ground running and add immediate value. The role provides challenge, variety and reward, and will generally require a significant time-commitment beyond normal business hours to ensure a quality output.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support decision-making and strategic planning activities, serve as a key resource to senior decision-makers in the business
• Prepare and maintain in-depth analysis, modeling, monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting and reporting of financial and business performance to support company-wide financial and operational goals and initiatives
• Design, implement, and manage processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of financial and business performance data that is the required foundation for effective finance analysis
• Assist with end of month financial close variance review (forecast vs. actual), as well as financial and operational metric reporting
• Help develop and drive ongoing initiatives focused on cost assurance and appropriate expense and capital recognition and accounting treatment
• Assist with the preparation of presentations (internal and external) of financial and operational business results and analysis
• Other financial and operational analysis and duties as needed

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-3 years of financial analyst experience, telecommunications industry knowledge/experience preferred, but not required
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make sound recommendations
• Exceptional attention to detail
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required, familiarity with Microsoft Access and Great Plains preferred but not required
• Familiarity with salesforce.com preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload: role often requires working extended hours (evenings and weekends, when necessary) to achieve results in a deadline driven environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
• Strong sense of teamwork and willingness to support others in supporting group objectives
• High energy and motivation; commitment to learning and having fun in an often stressful environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Financial Reporting Analyst
Based at our Corporate Headquarters in Greenwood Village and reporting to the Manager
of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, you will prepare SEC-related filings,
including the Company's annual report on Form 10-K, quarterly reports on Form 10-Q
and quarterly Earnings Releases.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Prepare external financial statements as well as prepare supplemental schedules
and analysis to support each SEC-related filing and its related footnotes
and management's discussion and analysis
Ensure that SEC filings are XBRL compliant
Research and document new accounting principles and reporting requirements to ensure
that the Company's SEC-related filings and releases are GAAP, SEC and PCAOB
compliant as well as keeping management informed of new pronouncements
Coordinate and assist in the gathering of information generated by other
departments for the preparation of the SEC-related filings and earnings releases.
Coordinate, assist and respond to the external auditors in their reviews
of the quarterly financial statements and year-end audits
Reconcile the Company's equity accounts on a quarterly basis.
Assist the General Ledger team by assisting with periodic close process including
preparation of journal entries, financial statement analysis, and account reconciliations

Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of public accounting experience required
CPA Required
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations S-X and S-K
Excellent communication skills, particularly written communication
Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
