Financial Reporting Analyst (Downtown)

We are looking for someone who can start ASAP for a Downtown Corporate Company.
Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5 with Weekly Pay
Pay $22-26 an hr
6 month contract, details are below..please send resumes if you are qualified..
Summary: Responsible for finance and accounting support for Information Technology accounts for large financial institutions; to include creating financial reports for internal and external use, collecting and analyzing financial data to ensure that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines, and conducting research of accounting rules and regulations and providing guidance on company policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares financial statements for internal and external users.
• Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.
• Assists internal and external auditors as needed.
• Assists with close activities and journal entries.
• Performs Balance Sheet review and maintaining Balance Sheet reconciliation schedules.
• Provides Pipeline Reporting, Pro forma and profitability analysis
• Prepares and reviews client invoices
• Oversees time processing
• Ensures Software Revenue Recognition guidelines are being followed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Tools: Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Enterprise Planning/HFM, and Microsoft Excel

Complexity of Work: Moderately routine; general policies applied. Some decision-making.
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in business or finance required and MBA preferred.
Experience: 5 - 7 years experience in finance or accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exposure to Banking IT and Software Development a plus.

Location: Downtown
Compensation: $25 an hr, weekly pay

Sr. Financial Analyst (Jacksonville, Fl)

Consistently rated as one of Jacksonville's best companies to work for, our international client is in search of a Sr. Financial Analyst. The potential candidate must have experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion and SAP (or JD Edwards). Responsibilities include performing detailed financial and variance analysis, monthly reporting and forecasting. The position will also perform various budget scenario models. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience with a Masters degree. The candidate must have experience in financial analysis and familiarity with accounting rules and procedures (GAAP), financial analysis, and financial modeling. Project accounting experience a plus! The candidate must have ability to multi-task and able to work in a deadline driven, fast paced environment.

Compensation: $70K-$80K

Corporate Finance Analyst (Jacksonville, Florida )

Typical Education/Experience:

Requires a bachelors degree
7-10 Years financial accounting, forecasting and analysis
MBA, CPA or FMP preferred
Sarbanes Oxley a plus

Typical Skills Required:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer software proficiency with traditional Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to "multi-task" effectively.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
Exceptional attention to details.
Work as a team player.
Self-motivated and positive attitude.

Specific computer skills:

Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Familiarity with accounting software and considered a "super user": Currently using Quickbooks. Will be implementing COGNOS or Hyperion, mid-tier ERP (Syspro , Great Plains, JD Edwards).

Principle Activities:

Financial and operational analysis;
Monthly financial forecasting and reporting;
Tracking, trending, modeling, variance analysis;
Preparation of financial forecast, budget and strategic plan;
Identifies and drives lean initiatives/cost saving programs;
Process documentation, risk identification, audit;
Prepares journal entries and transactional accounting;
Monthly account reconciliations;
Profitability study and other ad hoc special projects and reporting;
Implementation of new financial systems and reports.

Work Hours: As a professional position, hours are to be worked as required to properly and successfully execute the responsibilities to the standards of the position. Typical hours are expected to be Monday through Friday within normal Company office hours but may vary and include weekends and evenings as necessary or required by management.

Ability to travel as needed (10-20%).

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Compensation: 55k plus
