Financial Analyst (Orlando, FL)
19 May 2012 at 9:12amLodging Advisor is seeking a financial analyst to support the Investment and Asset Management teams in the Orlando office. The candidate will work closely with all members of the Orlando team and corporate personnel in to monitor the performance of the current hotel investment portfolio.
Description:
Data entry and analysis of Financial Statements.
Collection and distribution of all external financial reports on a weekly basis.
Become an expert user of our business intelligence and report writing software from our central database.
Asset Management - Track the performance of our current portfolio and produce monthly asset management reports for senior executives.
Financial Modeling -- Prepare ad hoc detailed financial analysis to include developing pro formas for potential and current hotel investments and customized comparisons across our existing portfolio.
Due diligence -- Assist investment team members with compiling all due diligence materials for financing or transactions.
Industry Analysis & Market Research - Conduct research as needed on a variety of real estate and hotel-related topics to include competitor analysis, market trends, and hotel transactions.
Effectively interact with external parties to include hotel management companies, franchise companies, third party consultants, lenders, brokers, and other hotel real estate companies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, financial or hospitality concentration preferred.
1-2 years of research and analysis experience preferred.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite, emphasis on Excel.
Strong data analysis, modeling and interpretation skills.
A strong interest in real estate and/or hospitality required.
Detail orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinker with ability to be self-sufficient and a self-starter, work independently and set priorities.
Possesses strong organizational and project management skills, is multi-task oriented, and possesses a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals.

Regional Finance Analyst (Downtown Orlando)

SUMMARY
The role sits within Regional Finance and is part of the ASIG Corporate Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting (PBF) team lead by the Senior Director of Finance. The team is responsible for all aspects of both Tactical and Strategic Planning across ASIG network.
PBF for ASIG stations is delivered to the business via hub-and-spoke organization. Regional Financial Analysts are located at select stations where there is high-demand for PBF support; and will provide additional PBF support to other stations in that region. Regional Finance Managers (RFM) serve as single-point of contacts for their assigned Regional Vice President (RVP) on all finance-related matters.
The role reports to RFM and the primary responsibility is to support RFM in all aspects of regions' PBF needs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Key activities and decision making
Impact on the Business
Perform a lead role in the production of key report, providing insight-adding analysis and commentary.
Perform a lead role in supporting stations in meeting all planning, budgeting and forecasting requirements, maintaining awareness of requirements and deadlines, and ensuring due preparation at stations.
Customers and Stakeholders
Support RFM in providing single point-of-contact for RVPs on finance-related matters; and work with relevant Area Accounting Managers to ensure "360" understanding of local station finances.
Leadership and Teamwork
Support the Senior Director of Finance in recruiting and identifying future finance leaders.
Support the RFM in responding to ad-hoc requests from senior management and other key stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviewing monthly the accuracy of financial statements.
Supporting delivery of all aspects of finance and business-decision support to RFM, RVPs and Station Managers.
Supporting RFM in responding to queries from RVPs and station managers.
PBF group in annual budgeting and general planning needs.
Preparing and reviewing key reports including labour tracking and analysis.
Providing station managers with regular updates and commentary on performance and P&L analysis.
Supporting station managers with additional ad-hoc financial support
