The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for forecasting, reporting, and analyzing revenue and expenses for domestic product groups. This person will assist the Sr. Finance Manager with product level profitability reporting, renewal reporting and perform various ad-hoc projects as necessary. The Sr. Financial Analyst is independently organizing extracted data into meaningful information through the use of computer-based tools; preparing reports which the team and management can use to make timely and accurate decisions about process improvements.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:
  • Prepare detailed monthly forecasts and annual budgets for CB product groups
  • Prepare monthly actual to forecast and actual to budget reporting and variance explanations
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity within the forecast for each product
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages with Key Performance Indicators
  • Work closely with business owners, product managers and liaise with teammates in finance, accounting and HR
  • Use data mining techniques to report on product renewal rates and various KPIs
  • Report on quality metrics and utilize the information to analyze for root cause and for initiating corrective and/or preventive action

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related are of study)
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of data, data management, report design and presentation
  • Experience in area of forecasting and financial reporting
  • Data mining experience with use of pivot tables required and some Access database experience preferred
  • Knowledge of BPC- Outlooksoft preferred
  • Attention to detail, strong initiative, adherence to deadlines
    • Media/Internet experience is a plus

While the bookkeeper will be responsible for traditional accounting and finance functions, he or she is also expected to possess the experience and energy to influence constant improvement in operating and financial results. This individual will also be expected to function as a financial and business advisor to the owners. The successful candidate will also have a minimum of 10 years experience in the food service or related industry.

Reporting to the ownership, the company will rely on you to:

• Conduct and/or direct all day-to-day accounting activities.

• Maintain all accounting and financial management systems and control the financial reporting and review process. Experience with the QuickBooks and Job Costing software system will be extremely helpful as will experience with Macintosh computers.

• Maintain the Weekly Cash Forecasting process along with supporting schedules of collections and disbursements.

• Prepare and maintain the Weekly Executive Flash Reporting process and review of key indicators.

• Close the books and develop timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and budget variance reports.

• Provide management with financial plans and analyses including, but not limited to, annual profit plans and ad hoc financial analyses.

• Possess a strong knowledge of food and labor costing control practices including gross margin analysis, labor rate development and performance based incentive programs.

• Ensure that all required federal, state and local tax filings are prepared, filed and paid accurately and on a timely basis.

• Oversee through others the accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, employee benefits and insurance functions.


Qualified applicants will have a BS degree in accounting or finance; be a proactive leader and team player; possess accounting experience in the food service industry; experience in budgeting, planning, variance analysis, pay for performance programs, financial and operational reporting; a high level of ability with spread sheets and other analytical tools, and a strong desire to succeed.
